UK Rail Strike 2023

DO NOT TRAVEL

The UK rail network will run a temporary timetable on some dates in September 2023.

Following an announcement that railway workers in the United Kingdom are due to strike and take industrial action, some, if not all train operating companies are running a significantly reduced timetable.

train.io advises to not travel on the following dates:

  • Friday 1st September 2023

  • Saturday 2nd September 2023

Train services are starting from 07:15am and will finish by 6:30pm. Please check the first and last train times for your station with your operator.

Services that do run are likely to be very limited and extremely busy.

You can check service frequencies on this page, and this will get updated as more train operating companies announce their new timetables.

You can also check the current network service status on the train.io web app.

Refunds
If your service has been cancelled, delayed or rescheduled, you will be entitled to a change or a refund from the original retailer of your ticket.

Ticket validity

Tickets will be valid for travel one day before strike action and two days after strike action.

To help minimise disruption, you may be able to use your existing ticket on another route or train operating company. Please check with your train operating company for more information.

This page is not yet available on mobile devices, and is currently best viewed on a desktop PC or Mac with a screen resolution of 1920x1080 or higher.
